"Experience Yesteryear". There will be Cane Grinding/Juice Samples, Sausage Smoking, Log Smokehouse, Old Working Gristmill, Crafts, Food, Souvenirs, Wildlife Trail Rides, Wagon Rides, and much more. Friday is Educational Day and Saturday at 11am is a Mule Show. There is an event admission fee which is nominal. You can camp overnight in RV or tent. Fee charged accordingly. Occurring during the second full weekend in March and stretching for nearly 200 miles, the yard sale meanders along the Golden Isles Highway and Peach Blossom Trail (Highway 341) from Culloden to Brunswick.
The Georgia Great Steak Cook-Off Contest (Jeff Davis County)
Participants can test their culinary skills at this annual event where the name says it all. Full of fun, prizes, and good tastes, the event is held in conjunction with a local Georgia-Made, Georgia-Grown Festival.
Peaches to Beaches (Wayne County)
GA's longest yard Sale starts in Culloden, GA and continues through to Brunswick on Hwy 341 – the Golden Isles Parkway. With Wayne situated on Hwy 341 they take advantage of this major tourism event by have sites at Odum, Jesup, Gardi and Mt. Pleasant; with Jesup being the main site. This event attracts vendors from far and wide to sell not only yard sale items but many unique and interesting items. Many antique dealers use this event to find a treasure and many antique sellers use this to offer bargain deals. However, there are many other attractions at the Jesup site, including a band Friday night, and kids activities on Saturday, including a clown, bounce houses, and easter egg hunt this year. In addition to all this there will be a classic car show and the Jesup Police department will have their roll-over and DUI simulators for young and old to experience. So this event will give you the opportunity to find that special something and have fun driving to different sites and communities for this once a year amazing event in Georgia.
